Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be domiciles of West Bengal.Students should have completed their previous examination from a recognized Board, Council, or University within West Bengal and be enrolled in a recognized institution in the state.
- For students at the +2 level: Minimum 50% but less than 60% aggregate marks in the Madhyamik (Class 10) examination are required.
- For undergraduate students: Minimum 50% but less than 60% marks in the Higher Secondary (Class 12) examination are needed.
- For postgraduate students: Minimum 50% but less than 53% marks in graduation are required.
- The annual family income of the student should not exceed INR 1,20,000.
NOTE: The student must not be receiving any other government (central/state) scholarship or stipend for the same course or level of study during the last year.
Benefits:
Each eligible student receives INR 10,000 per year for their current course.
Application Process:
- Draft an application on plain paper, including all relevant information.
- Attach all necessary documents with your application.
- Submit the completed application, signed and accompanied by all attested documents.
- Photocopy of the tuition/admission fees book.
- Photocopies of mark sheets from all prior examinations.
- Copies of rank card and allotment letter from the selection committee (for JEE or equivalent exams).
- Recommendation letter confirming monthly family income from MP/MLA addressed to the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
- Bank account details (IFSC Code, Branch Code, Branch Name, Account Number, Bank Name) with a photocopy of the bank passbook.
- Monthly family income certificate from DM/SDO/BDO/Group-A Government Officer (not below the rank of Joint B.D.O./Deputy Commissioner of Corporation/Executive Officer in a Municipality).
- Self-declaration from the student regarding their current course of study, including year/semester and any received scholarships/aid, countersigned by the head of the present institution with a seal.
- Contact details including a mobile number.
Note: Ensure that all photocopies of documents are attested by a Group-A Government officer.
