The goal of the three year undergraduate B.Sc.  in Operation Theatre Technology program is to prepare students to help with surgical procedures, handle surgical tools, and keep the operating room clean.  The curriculum provides students with the technical know-how and abilities required to oversee and operate  a variety of medical devices, keep an eye on patients' vital signs, and  support surgeons during procedures. Infection control methods and emergency management are also covered in the training. In hospitals and other healthcare settings,  graduates might work as anesthetic technicians, surgical assistants, or operating room techs.
