Indian Institute of Management Ranchi

The ninth Indian Institute of Management was established in Ranchi, India, in 2009. This was made possible by the kind contributions of the Government of Jharkhand and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, which were operating under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
 
We began at a time when management schools were typically criticised for putting too much focus on competition, animosity, and attaining results through any means. Restoring the aura and exclusivity of classroom instruction at a time when the use of technology in the classroom was also a dominant force was the toughest challenge. In terms of fulfilling the needs of businesses that hire management students, there existed a glaring vacuum.
 
To bridge the knowledge gap between what was taught and what was needed in actual business settings, the curriculum needs to be entirely rewritten. Giving students a sense of reintegration into society also became much more important. We understood the need of establishing moral values in children's minds in addition to providing education suitable for the information age that encourages networking and mutual benefit. In addition, we decide to provide contextual information in the programmes.
 
Our flagship programme is the two-year MBA in General Management programme that IIM Ranchi now provides. Because we are the only IIM to offer a full-time, two-year programme in human resources management (MBA-HR), we can attest to the field's growing necessity and importance. In addition, we provide a 24-month part-time Diploma in Management and the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), both of which are financed by the government (PGEXP).
Our programmes are offered in a world-class way, and students are exposed to case studies, pertinent projects, and relevant industry experience in addition to regular classroom education.
 
Our objective is to create capable managers and business leaders. We put a lot of effort into ensuring that every one of our students develops the skills required to succeed in any organisation. Helping youngsters develop the right values and attitudes is equally important if they are to survive adversity and instability. They are encouraged to participate in open competitions across all platforms since we place a great importance on encouraging a competitive attitude. Additionally, by providing classes on cutting-edge subjects like energy management, analytics, and neural networks, we try to prepare the students for the future.
