After IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Bangalore, the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is the fourth member of the famous IIM family of management schools to be founded in India. The first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, had the idea and took the first steps toward establishing the IIMs.
The Institute opened its doors in 1984. Since then, the instructors, alumni, and support personnel at IIML have had a direct or indirect impact on millions of lives. Students at IIML are developed into globally competitive, value-driven leaders and managers. The institute engages in a wide range of academic pursuits with the goal of producing, disseminating, and applying management knowledge and technique.
IIM Lucknow became the first IIM to establish a satellite campus in NOIDA in the Delhi-NCR region, therefore extending its sphere of impact in the field of management education.
The campus, which is located in a city renowned for its cultural legacy, spans more than 190 acres of lushly planted terrain. IIM Lucknow, which has its roots in the city of "Tehzeeb," also teaches its students human values and business ethics to prepare them to have a beneficial influence not only on their country but also on the world stage. The environment at IIM Lucknow is optimal for learning, accessibility, and quality.
