Nursing is a health care proffesion that integrates the art and science of caring and focuses on protection and promotion of health, prevention of illness and take care of ill and disabled people. The main work of a nurse is to assess, observe and speak to patients.

4. RG Kar Medical College &Hospital - It was established in the year 1886. This college is situated one kilometer from the Shyambazar Metro Station, which is on Line from the Sealdah Railway Station in Kolkata, and from the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. The R.G. Kar Road Bus Stand is the bus stop nearest to the institution. It has courses like nursing, cardiology, general medicine etc. Students have canteen facility, library and hostels.

8. Barasat Government Medical College and Hospital - Established in 2022, Barasat Government Medical institution and Hospital is a government medical institution and hospital. The city Barasat is a part of the Kolkata metropolitan region. The Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree as well as related degrees are offered by the college.[4] Additionally, this college provides paramedical and nursing studies. One of the biggest hospitals in the North 24 Parganas district.
9. North Bengal Medical College and Hospital – This college and hospital is located on the outskirts of Siliguri Sushrutonagar in West Bengal. It is the largest and oldest teaching institute which teaches courses like nursing, mbbs, pharmacy and other.
