IIM Ahmedabad has introduced a revised formula for calculating the Academic Rating (AR) score for admission to the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) for the 2022-24 batch. The Institute has decided to remove the bachelor's degree component from the shortlisting criteria and will now calculate the AR score based on the candidates' marks in class 10, class 12 board exams, and work experience. This change was implemented due to the pandemic Covid-19, which caused many institutes to promote students based on alternative criteria.
The new AR score will be shortlisted on a scale of 25 and will be pro-rated to 35.
The Composite Score (CS) will now be computed using the formula:
CS = 0.35 X (PRO RATED AR score/35) + 0.6 X (normalized overall CAT score).
The Institute has also released the CAT cut-offs and other details for the 2022-24 admissions process.
Candidates who are shortlisted by IIM Ahmedabad will need to appear for WAT/GD/PI Rounds, after which they will be granted final admission.
